YFA Connections is a private independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that has served the greater Spokane area with counseling and treatment programs for more than 35 years.

YFA Connections was founded in 1969 under the name Youth Help Association by a group of local citizens concerned by the growing involvement of Spokane youth with illegal and addictive drugs. From the initial focus on teenagers and marijuana, the agency has evolved over the past 35 years to offer a wide range of counseling and treatment services to a diverse group of clients.
To better reflect the broader scope of our services, the agency name was changed in 1997 to Youth Family Adult Connections or YFA and the round multicolored puzzle was adopted as our logo. Throughout our long tradition of service, YFA has developed a reputation for professionalism and for caring.
Just as the puzzle pieces in our logo form a complete circle, our services are designed to help clients in conflict and crisis fit the pieces of their lives together in healthy and productive ways.
Programs include chemical dependency, and co-occurring disorders treatment for adults; in-home counseling for families; and temporary shelter and crisis counseling for youth between the ages of 13 and 17 at our Crisis Residential Center.

Adult programs and the administrative offices for all programs are located at 901 E 2nd Ave, suite 100 near the corner of 2nd Ave and Arthur. Agency hours are from 9am to 5pm Mondays through Fridays.
